We have sourced high-quality speciality coffee beans from the freshest harvests across the world, to roast themselves here in our Newcastle warehouse. Blending beans from Brazil and Colombia, this signature blend was the result of many trials and testing, to ensure our blend, is your ideal blend.
Ethically sourced was a non-negotiable for us. This means we found a supplier that already had a working relationship with farms in Brazil’s Caldas and Coloumbia’s Popayan Reserve. These beans have been paid for two years in advance, to ensure the financial security of the workers and to allow for safe and healthy working conditions. Ahead of shipment to Australia, the beans are personally checked for quality control by our supplier.
CALADAS, BRAZIL: Caldas is an authentic Brazilian coffee terroir, where farms are scattered along slopes of one of the most geologically rich volcanic calderas(Caldas) in the world.With average heights from 1,000m to 1,350m, rich combination of volcanic minerals and rainforest soil and a rare climate condition, this unique Micro Region has ideal conditions for growing excellent and exquisite profiles of specialty coffee.
POPAYAN, COLUMBIA: Popayán plateau sits at 1700m asl. The undulating hills around it are where various small farms grow their coffee in the rich volcanic soil of the Andes. It’s consistent climate (averaging 13min-24max all year round) helps create excellent coffee growing conditions.
